Mystic Aquarium & Institute for Exploration and Immersion Presents are divisions of Sea Research Foundation, Inc., a private, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to advancing oceanographic exploration and marine life education, conservation and research.

Large Group Programs and Tours

Guided Aquarium Tour
(Grades K-Adult) Fee: $60 per tour
A member of our interpretive staff will escort your group on a personalized guided tour of the Aquariums exhibits as well as the back-up areas that are critical for the care and condition of our animals and exhibits. Specialized talks, fascinating facts, and sneak peeks will engage the participants at every turn.
Tours last one hour. Maximum persons per tour: 15.

Guided Challenge of the Deep Tour
(Grades 4-Adult) Fee: $40 per tour
Immerse your students in the wonder of the deep sea as a member of our interpretive staff leads them through our Challenge of the Deep exhibit. Participants encounter archaeology, geology, biology and technology as they come to realize all that encompasses the vast oceans -- and what goes on far below their surfaces.
Tours last one hour. Maximum persons per tour: 15.

Traveling Touch Tank
Enliven your next conference, fair or meeting by including a live, local invertebrate Touch and Learn. We bring a touch tank with lobsters, horseshoe crabs, sea stars and shellfish right to you. The length of time is flexible to meet your needs.

Sea Lion Training Large Group Program
(Groups of 50-400) Fee: $2 per student
Have you ever wondered "How did they train that animal to do that?" Our California Sea Lion Training Program will show you. This unique opportunity gives your group an inside look at our new Show Behavior Training and Animal Care Program, and will provide the opportunity to ask questions of our enthusiastic animal trainers. Programs take place in our Marine Theater.
Programs accommodate multiple groups until maximum is reached.
Booking is limited - usually available M, W, F.
