African Penguin Chicks Take Their First Swim Print E-mail

MYSTIC, Conn. – Mystic Aquarium’s newest African penguin chicks showed off their newfound swimming skills on April 15. The two chicks took the plunge into the Roger Tory Peterson Penguin Exhibit for the first time and were introduced to the public.

MYSTIC, Conn. – Travel with National Geographic photographer and biologist Paul Nicklen to the ends of the earth on April 16 at 7:30 p.m. at the Garde Arts Center. The event is part of the new “Faces of Our Planet” series, created by Sea Research Foundation, National Geographic Live and the Garde Arts Center to reveal the mysteries and discoveries of the world’s human, animal and geographic faces.

Mystic Aquarium Seeking Recycled Art for Second Annual Scrap Art Sculpture Contest Print E-mail

MYSTIC, Conn. – Calling all scrap artists! Mystic Aquarium, a division of Sea Research Foundation, Inc., is holding its second annual Scrap Art Sculpture contest and is seeking marine-themed art created from recycled materials.
